DR SHAHZADI HARPER
Dr Shahzadi Harper is a dynamic doctor interested in optimising women’s wellbeing and health and empowering them to look and feel their best. She looks after women of all backgrounds and ethnicities enabling them to make informed choices for their optimal health and longevity by balancing their hormones from turbulent teens through the menopause transition and beyond. She has an understanding of the symptoms and concerns that women face as she herself is one of six sisters and has a grown up daughter.
She believes in the early management of symptoms of the perimenopause and menopause to stay youthful and healthy.
She has given educational lectures to GPs on: Menopause, Mood and Sex; Menopause Myths and HRT- Putting the Risks of HRT into Perspective; Mood Disorder during the Menopause Transition; Breast cancer and HRT
She has given Podcasts for women on: How to adopt a positive approach to the management of their menopause; Weight gain and Hormonal imbalance; Vaginal dryness and Laser treatment as an alternative to HRT; Contraception in the Perimenopause.
She has acted as an Advisor to healthcare companies on best practise for women going through the menopause transition in the workplace.
Dr Harper graduated from University College London in 1994 and is an experienced GP having worked in Oxford and London and in the last few years she has dedicated herself to womens’ hormonal wellbeing. She is regularly updating her knowledge, attending conferences throughout the world which she then individualises to her patients. She is not afraid to discuss issues which other doctors may shy away from such as libido, ageing and sex.

- Member of Primary Care Society of Gastroenterology
